The Allen-Bradley 1783-HMS8S4CGN Stratix 5400 is a high-performance industrial managed Ethernet switch designed for secure, reliable network connectivity in automation and control systems. This 12-port managed switch features 8 Gigabit RJ45 ports and 4 SFP fiber uplink ports, supporting both Layer 2 and Layer 3 network configurations. Ideal for connecting controllers, HMIs, and other automation devices, it provides seamless integration with Rockwell Automation systems through EtherNet/IP, CIP Sync, and CIP Security support.

Designed for demanding applications, the Stratix 5400 offers redundant DC power inputs, extended temperature operation (-40°C to +60°C), and DIN-rail mounting for easy installation.

Note: The 1783-HMS8S4CGN has been discontinued. For new projects, Rockwell Automation recommends upgrading to the Stratix 5800 series.
